Unfortunately the new charting code was not ready in time for OOo2.0.
But what he describes can already be done with the old chart. When
selecting the cells in the dialog, you have to manually enter the
semicolons between data ranges. An easier way is to select the desired
cells before selecting Insert/Chart.
Hopefully it will get there for one of the "point" releases i.e. 2.0.1 or
2.0.2.
Such a big and fundamental change isn't likely to go into a point release.
