I'll check there. I thought this was the list for general usage discussions.

Nope. Looking to remove newlines from a text file in windows. Actually
what I'm trying to do is take a 100 or so line text file and delete all
of the newlines. I thought I could do it with OOo but it proved so much
a PITA that I had to switch back to MS Word for this.

I'm trying to accomplish the same thing as this unix command but in
Windows without having to get into cygwin or some other such overkill.

tr -d "\n" < file1 > file2
