I don't think it is too bulky, at least that is going to be solved automatically in the near future, cause of hardware improvements. Embedded devices seems to already have 64mb of RAM and 128mb - 1gb of flash. Biggest problem seems to be to adapt the user interface to support really small displays, e.g. as 300x200.

OOo is too bulky for this. We would need to either change the framework or modify the ammount of interfaces. We have been asked this continiously right next to an on-line version of OOo.
