I'm not too bothered about that, I just don't believe in spending money on things I don't need. I already have Windows XP on a laptop. I see no appliction in the foreseeable future that I am likely to need that will not run on that or on Linux so why spend any more money? I'd look at it the other way round. MS are not interested in you unless you are buying products. It will be a long time before people stop running Windows, after all some people still use typewriters. What will be worrying MS is the potential decline in sales and erosion of profit margins that will weaken them.
