You have to look in the "What's Included" section, under "Software"

AppleWorks on iMac

AppleWorks on iBook

AppleWorks on Mac Mini

AppleWorks for Mac

AppleWorks for Windows (you have to be a student or teacher to get this, so
the link may not work, since I had to give it my school to get there)

The point is not how good AppleWorks is - it is that it works. You don't
have to pay for MS Office to view Office files on a Mac. AbiWord, OOo X11,
and NeoOffice all work on it. TextEdit comes with Mac OS X. AppleWorks
comes with most Macs. MS Office Test Drive comes with all new Macs, or can
be downloaded from the Apple.com website or the Microsoft.com website.
iWorks Pages can open Word Docs, and a test drive of it comes with all new
Macs, or can be downloaded. MS offers a Powerpoint viewer for Macs.

The only format that may give you *any* trouble opening is an Excel file,
and that's assuming you don't have NeoOffice, OOo, AppleWorks, or MS
Office. Most Mac users have at least one of those programs.
