Just be sure not to fall into the false assumption that MS equals closed
source or proprietary software. Sure courts in the US and Europe have
shown that MS has basically destroyed a thriving software industry through
largely illegal practices and predatory marketing, and the choices now
are only a small fraction of what they once were.
However, there are still some very excellent closed source apps and
operating systems out there just as there are some very excellent open
source apps and operating sytems out there. It's just that none of the
better ones are made by MS.

Keep them out of the EU by writing your MEP, keep the market open.
