Docbook is very high-level and separates content from presentation very thoroughly (in fact the content party is rigidly specified, the presentation part not. Which means the presentation layer can change whenever you want without needing to rewrite documents) To work well with docbook OO.o would need to have much better styling support than now. And even then, you'd probably loose most of the eye-candy when saving Docbook is a very nice format - it forces people to structure documents instead of painting them in bold and italic.
