What you seem to be saying is that the level of interoperability between
MS Office and OOo is not good enough for your needs. That is fair
comment, but many people are using the software in professional
environments now so there is at least some disagreement with your
general statement. Perhaps they are less dependent on lock-in to
Microsoft products than you are?

I have to say that I don't find many problems importing Word documents
and I would generally send rtf or pdf or something. Impress and
Powerpoint are in my view a lot less well matched but its not often I
have to export Impress files to Powerpoint.
