It would appear that I am having a problem accessing a feature in your
suite: write, to clarify; AutoCorrect, to be precise. This feature,
which worked quite well prior to the 2.0 release, allowed me to add
various misspelt words & and the corrected counterpart, such that it
would aid my writing. Now however, this feature has disappeared. I have
removed the newly installed version and re-installed Office, as
suggested by forums but the AutoCorrect feature is not there. Currently,
there are four choices (functions) listed: Tools -> Auto Correct:
Options, Custom Quotes, Exceptions & Word Completion.
There isn't provision for adding the/_* misspelt words!!!*_/
I am aware of the fact that some distributions do repackage Openoffice
but I doubt if Fedora would screw up this that badly. Please, look into
this as soon as possible and replace this most valuable tool. If this is
not your fault, then it's time to change distro.
The "Replace" tab is certainly on my Windows copy of OOo 2.0.
PS: Can you also look into adding _/*"A Screenwriter's Module"*/_ to
writer? This would facilitate the writing of movies, and or television
shows, which should further broaden your appeal to the public...
A screenwriter's tool wants virtually none of the normal features of a
word processor, and a good many abnormal features (such as marking
continued paragraphs on both ends). In the commercial world,
screenwriting programs are separate products (such as Final Draft) from
specialized firms, and I suspect it would be the same for FOSS.
