Hi Rod,

Is it just my installation or are other people experiencing the same
thing? It seems to me that 2.0 and 2.01 are the most unstable versions
of OOo I've ever used. It's a lot worse than the last few rounds of
betas.
I haven't even been using the program that much and I've had at least
15 to 20 crashes. For no apparent reason, just bloop!
This is on WinXP, fully updated.
On XP (not updated) I had some crashes. Mostly in Impress (using older
presentations) and a few with swift actions in Writer Mail merge assistent.
I've worked a little on Mandrake, without probs.
Could your problem be the result from a sequence of beta's, that left
their traces on the system??

I suppose anything's possible, but how would I determine that and how
would I fix it? I've been uninstalling the previous versions before
installing a new one, even though it's not necessary to do so
theoretically.
As near as I can tell, the problem seems to be that the program
*appears* ready to accept user input (keyboard & mouse actions) when it
really isn't. If I try to do things too quickly, perhaps similar to the
"swift actions in Writer Mail merge" that you mentioned, it crashes.
Fortunately, the document recovery system has worked flawlessly so far
and I haven't lost any data (kudos to the developers on that!).
I see this problem *only* with OOo and *only* with the 2.0 and 2.01
versions. I was just hoping that someone else might be able to confirm
the problem before I filed a bug report.
