As someone else posted recently, there
are win32 builds of evolution available now.
Unfortunately, there's no installer. I'm not exactly sure how to run
this.
There are instructions in the distribution.
Basically, you unpack the distribution into a folder.
Then ... :)
Then you download all the dependancies and install them in the same way,
in the same base folder. Then you may have to add the bin and lib paths
to your environment ( control panel ==> system ==> something ... I'm not
at a win32 box at the moment ). I also haven't installed evolution for
win32 yet, but I've read the instructions, and decided to do it later.
There won't be an installer for quite some time. There are installers
for gtk though, so it is possible - just hasn't happened yet. When the
product stabalizes, an installer for evolution & the rest of the gnome
dependancies will appear. For now, you can test it out under Linux quite
easily though :)
I have the GTK installed (for Gimp and Inkscape) on Win32. And I've also
played with Evolution on Fedora. My comments were more aimed at the idea
of pointing posters in that direction. It's a bit premature.
