Perhaps, but with or without Java, Cocoa is better than X11.  The point is,
X11 has got to go - if you want Mac users to use OpenOffice.org.  Forcing
them to install something that's foreign to them, run OpenOffice.org without
Aqua in a window that has all the menus in the window instead of the
Mac-Standard across the top, and has some weird "windowing system" running
in the background is *not* the way to get them to use OOo. Mac users have
money, (usually, I'm not a good example), so just because "it's free" is not
enough of a selling point to make them jump through all those hoops.  If you
can improve on NeoOffice's work, then please do so, by all means - but how
about trying to match their work, first, since the X11 is not as good.
