If "incomplete" means that it does not cover all the features, then the
Office 2003 XML file format is incomplete for Excel but complete for
Word. PowerPoint 2003 IIRC does not have an XML file format at all!

The "old" XML file formats is not an "experiment" as Daniel wrote. I
would call it a joke. :-)

The Office12 format will be complete for all applications.

What do you mean by that? The upcoming MSO XML file format will be a
true XML file format without binary content. Could you please elaborate?
