Living here in Hawaii, last week I gave a quick session to a group of
active and retired college teachers where I pushed the new release OpenOffice
2.0 as a real alternative for student usage. The Hawaiian Medium Education
Director was present, and having had a group there create a Hawaiian language
E-mail program, they were interested in using Open Office for Hawaiian language
document processing.
Please let me know how a native language group might be organized; there are
huge archives of historical and governmental records in the Hawaiian language,
and scholars and genealogists need a program that can use Hawaiian language
constructs. Thank You.
