There are a lot of Easter eggs in MSO, but there's no reason OOo should have them in the release version, so I've submitted a bug report.

        http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=61667

Apologies if it is a duplicate report, but the search interface for the bugs is, um, less than optimal in regards to clarity shall we say.

Hi,

I used to work for OOo and Gnome at SUN until about 3 years ago, and one of my
(many) jobs was to find and patch out easter eggs from the Gnome desktop.

The philosophy was that easter-eggs should never harm anything or anybody
(the computer its running on, or any person or organisation which might feel
offended by it), nor should anybody or any organisation be promoted (a
link to the world hunger site had to be patched out, for instance).

Otherwise it was important to make sure that easter-eggs do not appear by itself. For instance, some funny things start bouncing on the screen because its Friday 13th or something like that. So, you really need to know what special thing to do in
order to activate an easter egg. Otherwise you'll never see them. Easter eggs
should never harm nor surprise.

I assume that a similar approach with the tolerance towards easter eggs is
taken at OOo.
