Hi Louis, >> I think having local groups throughout the world is a great idea! Thanks! Yes, I think it would be both fun and useful to have local groups...of course, the first thing is to get the people. I haven't gotten emails from anyone in Colorado yet about a local group. : ( Might have to take it to the LUG level to ask for others who might be interested.
I think working within LUGs make sense--but as OOo also runs on a slew of platforms, contacting Apple groups, et al., might also help.
I'm not wiki-savvy but would be happy to use whatever means to list the groups. Yahoo Groups might or might not be another way to do it.
Indeed. The only thing I'd be interested in this regard is documenting such groups and possibly telling them where they can find things like documentation.
Wikis, by the way are very easy to learn. Just click on "edit" and see how others have edited it. The instructions are very clear, too.

Anyone in Colorado who'd like to do local stuff, please contact me. Thanks, Solveig Haugland [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [discuss] OpenOffice.org groups in Colorado? [snip refererenced post]I think having local groups throughout the world is a great idea! What I would like to propose is simply to list them, along with contact information. Right now, some of the Native Language projects do this but its not particularly consistent, not that it needs to be.But we are moving to the world where having user groups is going to happen. And let's help it.I'd propose then to start with a wiki to which any group can add their information. If people are interested, let me know...Best, Louis --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
