Hi,

I want to suggest a feature for OpenOffice-Calc linefeed-behaviour:

When I enter a dataset into a table, I'd like to have an easy, ergonomic,
fast-usable Linefeed. I am doing lots of feedback-analysis and I have to
enter lots of datasets with many columns and rows. Very often I sit there
and hack line for line without watching the monitor. When doing such simple
but fast input, every key you have to press is a key too much.

So when I enter data, I'd like to have the cursor do an lf/cr on pressing
enter. At the moment you only can define lf (down/up) or cr (left/right).
Even more sophisticated would be, to be able to mark the column where the cr
will jump to, for example by remembering the last column, where the cursor
was, before tabbing forward.

That would improve the work-ergonomics in this way:
At the moment I have to position the cursor to the right column, enter data
by tabbing forward, press Enter for lf, press Pos1 for cr and position the
cursor to the right column again.
After that improvement I'd have to position the cursor once for a certain
number of datasets, enter data by tabbing forward and press Enter once for
cr/lf to the last positioned row.

Implementation should be easy through saving the last column, the cursor was
positioned by the cursor-keys and adding the options of "down/left",
"down/right", "up/left", "up/right" to the extras->options-dialogue with the
effect of certain positioning-behaviour. I use a German version of
OpenOffice.org and the path to this option is:
"OpenOffice.org Calc -> Allgemein -> Eingabeeinstellungen ->
Eingabebestätigung setzt die Selektion nach unten/rechts/oben/links".

Thank you,
so long,
Felix Lieb
