The circular letter Assistant actually allows to generate (1) a letter
or (2) an email to a list of recipients, based on the assumption of 1
page or mail per addressee from the list which in my case is a
spreadsheet.
1) a first weak point is the fact, that the number of keywords proposed
in the Address Block Definition is just enough for an address, but
not general enough to catch items from a larger number of columns;
2) the second point is my main problem: considering that the printing
capabilities of openoffice calc are just raw output, it would be fine
if the cicular assistant could add a third option under point 2
"Choice of document": letter, email, LIST
which is something WITHOUT a page-break after each entry.
Allowing to set up a normal document with items like
<name> <address> .... CR
<tel>, <email>
<comment>
using the names of the columns; page-breaks are then subject to the
page definitions inside the text processing.
If point 1 finds a more general reply, then point 2 could also be solved
with a simple additional button: "page-break yes or no after
line/document generation".
Thank you for your attention.
