Yes. I've said that doesn't work. How can I confirm which version of OOo I am actually running? I am under the assumption that it was 2.01 since that's what I downloaded, but the menu Help->About doesn't get that specific. Just to be sure, I've tried it again and get the same result.

If I have a formula like =$A$1 + $A$3 and cut cell A3 and then paste it into A4, the formulat changes to =$A$1 + $A$4 Like I said, much of the time that is a helpful feature, however, in other cases it's a major obstacle.

it in version 2.0.1 and it seems to work just fine. Try that and see
what happens.
