Yes it helps a great deal and now I know where the real bug lies..
I was selecting the tab menu by Clicking on the tab in the menu bar..
which brings up the Tab part of the Paragraph Menu.. My error was that I
was expecting the formatting options to relate to the Tab I clicked on,
(Normal Procedure in Word-Works-ClarisWorks) etc BUT it dosent you have
make an additional selection to work on the Tab you need to modify..
BUMMER that is not really the best setup.
So Developer Guys, Please modify Oo so if you want to format a tab all you
have to do is dbl-click the tab you want to work on rather than dbl-click
then figure out which one it is in the measurement menu..
OH and PLEASE put an APPLY button on the dialogues.. So we can see the
effect without having to leave the Dialogue Menu, Just in case we need to
change it.. Keep up the good work

Just a quick question.. I tried to set two tab points on the same line
with _________ as the fill Character BUT.. it don't work. Or at least it
wouldn't for me..
Example.; Name:_________________ Signature:____________________________
Simple enough you would think. I just tried it in an old version of
Claris
works PC and it does it with no trouble.. BUT not Oo :(
All I could get was Name:____________________ Sig:
. Nothing I tried would put the fill in.. If I changed the type of Fill
Character for the last tab it changed the whole line.. Which is where I
think the problem lies.. Is this function set to operate by Line or
Tab..
I think its a bo bo.. Unless the mighty Cor can tell me different.. any
comments solutions gratefully received.. PLEASE
