Hi,

I am very interested in having an office suite available via our central server
for use by staff and clients. I do not want to issue them all with an Office
suite on CD but would like to offer a free Web2.0 OpenOffice suite along with
our other web based product range. I would propose to use Ajax technologies for
this.

I would like to hear from anybody who is currently looking into or activily
working on a similar project. I would also like to get my hands on any UML
models that currently exist for OpenOffice so that I can determine the points
at which I would need to plug in. I am very determined to make this as seemless
and unobtrucive as possible so that updates and new releases of OpenOffice will
have negligable or no impact.

Secondly I would like to ask if we could start an Incubator project within
OpenOffice for this and I would also like to hear from anybody interested in
participating.

I am a J2EE architect/senior developer and have designed and participated in
the build of some very large scale projects both in the Telco and Finance
sectors both with greenfield projects and refactoring of legacy solutions. Most
of the projects I have worked on over the last 5 years have been
intranet/internet based.

Any UML models would be a great starting point for me.

Regards

Steven McArdle
