No it doesn't.

There was a lot of discussion about grammer checkers about a year or more ago. One of the most mentioned things was how bad most current grammer checkers actually are, especially the one in MS Word. Gramatick, (not sure of the spelling) a grammer checker that came bundled with Wordstar was actually better, in any case there was as much sentiment against grammer checkers as for them.

I should mention that much of the most important functions of a grammer checker can be handled by Writer's AutoCorrect function. This is available through the Tools menu. You can set it up to automatically do many things like always capitalize the first word of a sentence, always capitalize any letter i when it is by itself, and many more things. For my use I find that I can get about everything I need in grammer checking through programming AutoCorrect.
