I have OOo 1.1.5 on a Win98SE laptop (upgrading to 2.0 is impractical now). These suggestions are based on 1.1.5. My experience is very limited so far.
1. For the future, permit us to add and subtract program components without deleting an entire installation first. That might be an entire program like Calc or a feature subset that can already be included in or excluded from a user's installation. I wanted to see what components I hadn't installed, and had to run the repair option to find out. But that installed something I didn't want. 2. When we start OOo from the Win98SE Start menu, no action is visible on the screen for quite a while, leading to speculation that nothing had been invoked. I suggest the cursor be changed early to one indicating that something is happening. In Win, that's usually the hourglass or the hourglass with a pointer. That's sufficient feedback.
