Hi,
I have been using the OpenOffice suite for some time and I am shifting
over from the Microsoft office suite. The only disadvantage that I found
was the more complicated handling of templates in OpenOffice Write - but
on the other hand I was delighted to find the possibility to edit
mathematical formula and to make PDF files.
I wanted to upgrade from 2.0.1 to the new 2.0.2. That was a mistake.
2.0.2 is not possible to open. The icons on the screen are the little
frames that Windows uses for programs without their own icon. When I
double click, a warning window appears saying "this cannot be executed
unless a program is installed". I tried to re-install twice, without
success. Fortunately, I still had the installation file for 2.0.1, so I
could re-install that. But - what happens to those coming new to
OpenOffice, who are met by this? So please return to OpenOffice 2.0.1.
Data: operating system Msoft Windows XP, computer DELL Dimension DIM
4600 with processor Pentium 4 2,66 GHz.
Regards, Lave
