hello,
I am using open office product and I found some bugs in it or it is
just my ignorance of smth.
First of all, I tried to protect my OpenOffice.org Calc document's
sheet (tools>protect document> sheet). I entered the requered
password, saved the document and closed it. But when you or anybody
else open's it, you can easily unprotect the document and no password
is needed.
"Protect document->Sheet" is for you to protect yourself against
accidentally overtyping something while you're looking at the document;
it is intended to be easy to undo. If you seriously want to create a
document that other people cannot alter (without considerable effort)
create a PDF.
Second, I created new macro and I tried to assign it to my created
button, it is working until you reopen the saved document. After that
you have to assign macro again.
Macros can be saved either as a part of a document or within OOo (to be
available on many documents). Which did you do? If you put it in the
document, did you then save the document? Did you save it in
OpenDocument format? What do you mean by "my created button"?
