To Sir Gimp, et al: Please don't tell me the OOo has fallen into the
Microsquash trap of incompetency! So far, from what see I will not be
"upgrading" to 2.0.3 for quite some time, if ever.

Yes, it is a Windows XP install. What is the meaning of the Help text:
"Check for Updates
This command is available for the full versions of OpenOffice.org,
StarOffice and StarSuite only. "

According to the release notes, I should have a "Check for Updates"
option
in the Help. I've just installed version 2.0.3 and this option is not on
the
Help menu. The Help itself has this mysterious text:
------------
Check for Updates
This command is available for the full versions of OpenOffice.org,
StarOffice and StarSuite only.
--------------
What does this mean? What is a "full version?" and why don't I have it?
Thanks,
Elgimpo
Maybe this a Windows release problem? From your email headers I presume
you are using Windows of some variety.
I have just installed the linux version and the "Check for Updates" is
there and tells me there is no update available.
