You probably weren't able to find this in the Help?
If you choose Tools|Autoformat, there a tab called Word Completion. You
can turn it off there. Or choose to only suggest from a special list.

Futhermore there is the menu Format|Autoformat, with which you can trun
off all kind of autoformat things in one action.
Ctrl-F3 is the Autotext window. That has a autocomplete function, but
usually that is not the one that anoyes people.
