Try print preview. You can get pages side by side... I realise that this is not the 'reading' function that word has, but it is a work around.

Hi all, especially in Apple-World, wide screen monitors are pretty common. Those are perfect to display 2 pages of a document side by side. You can read it just like an open book. MS-Word is considering that. If there is enough room in a MS-Word- Window it shows 2 pages of a doc side-by-side. There is currently no other application I know, which is providing that feature. I can work around all other kind of stuff, errors or differences.
