Not really. It offends most purists, including myself. But it's not
inefficient to run 32 bit binaries on a 64 bit system. I run OOo, Cedega
and mplayer 32 bit binaries, and I really can't complain.

Future, yes. It's not ready yet, but people are working on it.

Sure, but low priority. What does OpenOffice gain from working on a 64
bit system? Nothing. Maybe it can access > 2GB of memory at once, sure,
but if OOo needs that much memory, something is very, very wrong. But
native 64 bit support is coming anyway.
