Hej I'm a teacher in physics and chemistry My students use excel for regression curves because openoffice lacks the feature "show equation in graph"
Calc creates a nice linear regression curve but it is impossible to get the values for the a and b (y = ax + b) shown inside the graph. Calc must calculate theses values since it shows the regression line nicely. Maybe this feature can be put on some calc-programmer's todo list.
