Dear Developers of Open Office,
I am using and teaching MS Office based on the text of the Bible and I really
like Open Office, but I
can't use it because I am used to work using keyboard shortcuts. Open
Office offers a possibility to configure more keyboard shortcuts for
every application, but this option doesn't work. I hoped that it will
work in the new version 2.4, but again, it is not working. Please,
consider it for the next version. As soon as it will work well, I am
going to teach using OOo to all the people I teach worldwide.
Thank you and may God bless you!

I have been using OpenOffice since version 1.1.4 and now use 2.0.2. I
use keyboard shortcuts for additional commands and for a few macros and
styles.
To give an example from Calc. Use Tools >Customise. Choose the
keyboard tab. I suppose you have got that far.
In the bottom left box, I choose the function "Application". In the
adjacent box, I choose "Edit Macros". In the top box, I choose
Control+M. Then I click on "Modify". [just an example]
If you want to remove an existing shortcut, select it in the top box and
press "Delete".
Why do you say that the feature does not work?
