Hi,
OpenOffice is a fantastic application, but I think the, slide, Navigation could use a lot of improvement, in Impress. When I have the Browser open a .ppt presentation, like say: www.dcl.hpi.uni-potsdam.de/LV/Components03/VL5/03_11-204-COM_fundamentals2.ppt I would much rather use the Navigate controls to view the slides. But that's the problem.. :-\ When the default Toolbars are shown all there is, is the "Navigator" button, which pulls-up a floating window with the controls. That isn't too bad, but my question is why can't you have the four Navigation buttons built into a toolbar?? If I do View->Toolbars->Form Navigation, I get a new Toolbar with all the Navigation controls, but the whole thing is ghosted, and it doesn't work!? And I tried to look to see if I could Customize an existing Toolbar with the Navigation controls, but I couldn't seem to do that either. :-\ For me, those are probably some of the most important controls to have, and they don't take-up much room either.. I'm far from being a wiz on Impress, but it seems to me that having all four, main, Navigation buttons easily available on a Toolbar, or on one that you can easily "add", not anything floating, would be a huge thing.. I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2. Keep up the excellent work!
