Hello OO Folks,
I am trying to enable Japanese input using the current version of Open Office running under Ubuntu 6.10. I have SCIM installed with Anthy running. I can type in Japanese in Gedit. I can't seem to enable Japanese input in Open Office. I went to the options setting and chose Japanese as the default language for Asian languages. I have a button for Hiragana and Katakana as well as Asian pronunciation guide, however clicking the Hiragana or Katakana button doesn't seem to do anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've searched for Japanese Input in the Open Office email list archives and the posts I found seem to be directed to native Japanese who run the entire suite in Japanese all the time or for people who are able to input in Japanese and want to enable Kanji shortcuts.
