Hi, i have a few ideas regarding the OpenOffice.org project, a few for the
website and few for the project itself
The ideas for the project itself are as following:
-A icon pack, a DLL that can be used by all the programs for finding their
icons that will be used in the interface. Like, if someone does not likes
the icons that are used now, he creates himself a icon pack he likes in
somekind of a editor. He will be able to post that on PublicPublish (I'l
describe this later) so other people can download them and use them. Also
the editor should be made then.
-A compiler for C#, Delphi, J#,... But then ALL-IN-ONE so someone that uses
these languages all at the same time does not have to download 10 compilers.
I would make it especially for Delphi and Basic, because i was looking for a
free compiler but was'nt able to find any, other people may have the same
problem!!
The website ideas are these:
-Make a online Java-based basic editor, so you can make your needs ONLINE!!
The only thing needed to download will be the finished file. You could be
saving your projects in a cookie or in 1 file on the server. You could be
making it so that it is structured to contain multiple projects or even a
size limitation per user. Ofcourse, like I already said, only basic commands
are built-in, parts that could be causing to run slowly or loading a long
time must be removed.
-PublicPublish, a page on the site where people can share templates they
have made in Impress, formulas for Math, icon packs or even kind of
'programs' in Calc. Also galleries of pictures made in Draw.
-Links to other websites that are made for Open Source.
Good luck,
Gyzome
