Hi,
please, help me kicking Bill out of my laptop...
The only feature which restrains me from doing so is that MS Word allows
to display and edit two pages side by side. As I am a novel writer, it's
crucial.
I found some questions about this in a few forums, and this feature
seems to be missing from OOo.
What would I like to have ?
The ability to display /and edit /two pages of the document side by
side, and make the most of the screen (even and particularly on 16/9
screens, which are perfect to display 2 pages side by side).
On small laptops (12,1"), every centimeter counts. The ideal would be a
kind of "two pages, text width" to avoid waisting precious centimeters
of white margins on each side.
I would be delighted!
If you don't think it's an important enough issue to be addressed,
please, give me a few hints about which files / packages of the code I
should dig into. I'm an object oriented developper (Java, and years ago
C++), so I might give it a try - though I don't have much time :-(
That's all I miss to get rid of Windows
