The same thing happened with me. I would have donated to
OpenOffice.org, but they don't take credit card donations without
setting up a paypal account first. I cancelled my paypal account a
while back due to phishing attacks. Instead, I donated to Gimp,
Inkscape, and Mozilla - it must not be that hard if they could do it.
If OpenOffice.org wants to make it such a pain to give money I guess
they don't want it bad. Very easy to donate to money to Gimp,
Inkscape, and Mozilla - just go to their homepages and follow the
links or post on the their lists.
