I use Windows OpenOffice Writer 2.1 for letters to foreign contries. It
seems that my only way to create accented characters is to copy them from
the Character Map. This is a bit awkward.
How about using the same device as in MS Word, that is, creating an accent
with typing Ctrl+{accent}
before typing the character?
Otherwise, OO is a nice piece of software. In particular, including a PDF
converter in the Writer is a good idea.
