Try to rename .docx to .zip end see what's inside. It's the same .odt
file you had in the first place. It only changes the file extension :-(
You are right (and I was wrong).
Amazing ... when renaming the file back to hello-world.odt , it cleanly opens
with OO.o. And when inspecting the XML inside, indeed it is a familiar format
that I had recognized, but it is ODF and not OOXML as I mistakenly
assumed (though ending with a .docx extension !).
