There are some grammar checkers available already. Perhaps you can find out more by visiting our lingucomponent project at lingucomponent.openoffice.org. We (the developers) are currently preparing an "official" API that makes integrating grammar checkers easier and lets them work more reliably and with less influence on performance. > 2) Auto-update or manual update button. OpenOffice.org 2.1 already has an update notification feature but due to the late arrival of the feature in that version we didn't make it visible enough for the users. So we decided to switch if off by default. Switching it on without prior notification could be seen as a privacy issue.
