when I try to work with them in Open Office I can't resize them without distorting them on the vertical and or horizontal, and it's almost impossible to get them back to the right dimensions in the size I'm trying to make them work with for my document.
To keep the aspect ratio of the images (ie, to prevent them getting squishy), simply push and hold 'shift' key when resizing the graphic using the corners.
