Uno was firstly designed and implemented about ~10 years ago, when
StarDivision still was an independent company. It basically made 3
iterations, the last one being what you currently see in OOo.
The biggest push for Uno came, when we implemented the "WebTop",
basically being something like a "web based office suite". Unos remote
capabilities were implemented at this time, ... and had proven its
usability and scalability :-)
