Hi Paul,
it might help to run the setup executable with the parameter -n. It
looks like you have made a so called 'network installation'. This can
only be removed when setup is started with -n. I think in this case it
is without risk to delete the OOo 1.x folder.
With OOo 2.x we have switched to Microsoft Installer so OOo 2.x behaves
different.

Olaf

Hi all,
I have been going over the list here trying to figure out how to clean
up the versions of Open Office I have on my W2K3 terminal server. I
discovered I had 1.1.1, 1.1.3, 1.9.7?, 2.0.x on there all at the same
time. Not good.
I removed 1.9.7 and 2.0.x easily enough from within 'Add remove
Programs'. 1.1.3 (and this list) said to use the local uninstaller,
which worked after running the 'repair' option first. My problem is
that I seem to be unable to remove 1.1.1. Running the setup program
form C:\Program Files\Open Office 1.1.1 installs 1.1.3. Then trying to
run it again I can only 'repair' the 1.1.3 even though I'm running the
setup executable from the 1.1.1 directory. If I uninstall 1.1.3 then
the 1.1.1 setup again installs 1.1.3...
I'm going in circles. Since this is on a terminal server it's pretty
important to keep the registry as clean as possible so I am not prepared
to simply remove the 1.1.1 folder and it's contents.
I now have 1.1.1 and 2.2.0 installed in parallel but I really need 1.1.1
off of there. It is confusing users.
Suggestions? What am I missing here?
