How do I delete blank lines in Writer?

Depends on why the blank lines are there:
- could be part of the formatting of the preceding paragraph (blank
line[s] or a fixed amount of space, in inches or centimetres after);
change the formatting of that paragraph or style (changing the
formatting of the style will affect *all* paragraphs with that style).
- could be part of the formatting of the subsequent paragraph (blank
line[s] or a fixed amount of space, in inches or centimetres, before);
change the formatting of that paragraph or style (changing the
formatting of the style will affect *all* paragraphs with that style).
- could be you put it there using the Enter key; put the cursor in the
blank line and hit backspace.
- could be your document or part of it is double spaced; change the spacing.
- could be the next paragraph won't fit on the page; investigate "widows
and orphans".
There may be more possibilities but these are probably a good start.
