Is anyone else disturbed by what seems to be an increasing number of

I certainly don't mind people turning a profit by providing packaged
versions or services like support, but it seems like we're hearing too
often about people paying unreasonable amounts and/or not receiving the
product.

First off, I wonder if there's anything we can do to help combat the
notion that OOo must be purchased. Secondly, I know www.OpenOffice.org
provides a list of distributors. I wonder how much is done to ensure
these are ethical sellers or to remove them if complaints are filed.

In the end, I guess there isn't much that can be done to fight the
hoards of Cheap Office Suite! ads out there. Unsuspecting people will
continue to be misled by the shysters, and as long as we're dealing in
free market exchanges, who's to say anyone got ripped off? It just
seems wrong.

Cheers,

Trevor

Is usually a lot of work to police this lists, however I don't know if any of this scam sites are on our distributor list.
