I appreciate the idea and functionality of OpneOffice.org very much.

alternative for its outlook mail. Moreover, i loose my mail archive/boxes

Is here something for OOo to entertain?

Thank you very much and success for an open world!

This question is asked, at least, daily. Most people on this list have an
opinion on this one way or the other. The current answer is that there is
not presently an email client offered with OOo.

IMHO I don't believe that OOo should never have a email application. There are plenty of good Open Source email clients that will do the job (and the
list and quality is improving all the time).
Just my $0.02 worth...

The simple fact that this question is asked almost daily, proves that all those that hold that opinion are almost certainly wrong! What most of those people are asking for is not just an email client like Thunderbird, but one with ALL the features of Outlook, and FULLY INTEGRATED with OpenOffice.org. I am surprised that a group of big corporations have not figured out that if they got together and hired a group of top notch developers they could come up with an Outlook replacement to package with OOo, and in the long run they could save themselves a ton of money over what they now pay M$ for licenses. I know that this lack of a suitable Outlook replacement is the last major thing standing in the way of many Fortune 500 companies adopting OOo.
