In former times it was the default that printing modified the documents and so users had been sked to save after printing. This was annoying for a lot of people while only a few of them requested it. Honestly speaking, Sandro is the first to ask for it since years. :-) So we added this option and took the default setting that overall is the least annoying for the users.
