I don't think so. You don't reject business documents based on file format.
If you reject a business proposal from a partner only because it is in .doc format, there is a very high chance he will not understand the reason and think twice before making business with you in the future (you know, the average office worker think *everybody* can read MS file formats).

I just imagine the face of my CEO if I would propose to block MS Office file types at the server level...
