Hi,

I am a high school teacher in a small Inuit village in northern Canada. I am very excited about Open Office, and look forward to using it on every computer in my school. I would like to see our school move to a linux system, like Edubuntu, with the Open Office suite. As you can guess, we currently use Microsoft Office and XP systems. There is one thing holding us back. The local language here is Inuktitut, with a syllabic alphabet. There exists a macro for Microsoft Office that will convert the the standard letters of the keyboard to the Inuktitut syllabics, they call it a 'font utility'. There is also an .exe file for installing a new drop-down menu from the menu bar that allows the quick use of this macro.
I can't seem to get this macro/menu into the open office system.
I hope that you can help, I can provide you with the fonts/utility.

thanks,

Stewart Churchill
