You don't say which OS (Operating System - eg. Linux, Mac, Solaris,
Windows, etc.), but I guess some flavor of Windows.

When you say have both versions on your machine, does this mean that you
can actually run them independently, or are you just seeing the remnants
of the old version 2.2 install under the following path:
"C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.2"

If you can run version 2.2 (ie. see this version number in "Help ->
About"), then uninstall via the control panel "Add & Remove Programs".
If you are seeing the the remains of the old installation (see above),
then you can delete the old version 2.2 directory/folder.

Please note this general discussion list not the best place to request
