Open Office 2.3 is an excellent software package and does almost
everything I need from my office software. I was particularly impressed
by the improvement to the "Calc" graphs in v2.3 as I felt that the
graphs had been the only draw back to using open office. The one thing
I am lacking now is a chemical drawing feature. There are a number of
open source programs available to create chemical structures but what I
ideally need is something which can be easily integrated into one of the
Open Office programs, so that structures don't have to be imported as
pictures that cannot be subsequently amended. I don't know whether this
would be best done as an added feature to an existing program such as
"Draw", as a plug in or as a completely new program but it would be a
great help to all the chemists like myself who currently use Open Office.
